From July 8 to August 30, from Monday to Friday, the castle will liven up your holidays!

A breath of fresh air at the castle this summer!

Throughout the summer, enjoy the many activities offered at the castle: knights and falconry shows, medieval workshops, guided tours, etc., will delight young and old!
It is possible to visit the castle without following the guided tour. Paper guides are available in French, English, German and Dutch.

Falconry show

Discover many species of birds in a show where you will be able to see raptors just above your head !

A new knight show will take place in the castle for the summer !

Discvover the different steps to become a knight in the Middle Ages.

Medieval workshops

The medieval workshops allow you to discover the universe of the Middle Ages: Calligraphy, costumes, small educational farm, crossbow shooting (from 5 years old), a small educational farm and wooden games medieval.

 

From Monday to Friday

Without interruption from 10:30am to 6pm.

Guided tours of the castle

A passionate guide will tell you the history of the castle from its construction to its present value. A true witness of the Middle Ages, the Château de Talmont is a fortress that tells the story of more than 1000 years of history! With its imposing keep, accessible on 4 levels, it dominates the Talmont coast.

From Monday to Friday

In French: At 10:50 a.m., 12:15 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

In English: 12:30 p.m. and 4:10 p.m.

Duration: 30 to 40 mins

Meeting point: Lower courtyard of the castle

The week-end

On weekends there are no guided tours, shows or medieval workshops. Self-guided tour only.
If you wish to visit the castle at your own pace, paper guides are available in different languages (french, english, dutch and german).

 

For children, a paper game “The King's Rançon” is available at the reception desk on request.

"The Epic of Richard the Lionheart"

The summer night show at the Château de Talmont

 

Written and directed by Jacques Raveleau Duparc, "The Epic of Richard the Lionheart" will once again be presented to public!

 

The night show of the castle of Talmont will take you on a unique sensational experience. Lights on the castle, high quality music, equestrian aerobatics and fire effects will help to amaze you while the actors and the hundred volunteers unfold the story before your eyes.

 

A magical moment in an exceptional setting!

To discover in 2024 : New lights on the castle and new scene about Richard the Lionheart !

Doors open 1 hour before the start of the performance.

 

The show is outside.

Only in french.

Free placement, except if the organizer choose to place.

Night show prices

- Adult (from 13 years old): 20€
- Child (from 5 to 12 years old): 15€
- Child under 5: free

Night show + day at the castle

If you want to come to the castle during the day AND enjoy the night show, we have set up a global rate, called “DAY + NIGHT”

(possibility to use the Day Pass from Monday to Friday):

 

- Adult (from 13 years old): 33€
- Child (from 5 to 12 years old): 23€
- Child under 5 years old: free.

 

À note: the castle closes its doors to 7pm and opens again for the night show 1 hour before the beginning of the show. (compulsory to leave the site).
